BYD intros dual-mode electric Qin vehicle, Remote Driving key for outside-the-car operation
The New York Auto Show may be done and over with, but the 2012 Beijing International Auto Show is just hitting its stride. Predictably, BYD is in attendance, and it's got a couple of new gizmos out on the red carpet. For starters, there's the Qin (pronounced "Chin," not Kin), a dual-mode electric vehicle that includes seven percent better efficiency, power and energy-saving in pure EV mode compared to the first generation's F3DM system. All told, the vehicle can scoot some 31 miles on a single 10KWh charge, and in hybrid mode, it can use both its 110KW electric motor and its 1.5 Turbo engine to output some 223KW of power and 440Nm of torque. For the technophiles, the car is also equipped with an intelligent cloud system platform, which incorporates things like "telematics, cloud-computing and a full-range of services 24 hours a day (like roadside assistance, vehicle positioning, remote monitoring, music and video downloads etc.)."
As if that weren't enough, the outfit's showcasing a new Remote Driving Controller for its F3 Plus, which enables owners to perform a variety of driving functions -- moving it forward / back, turning left / right and traveling at a "restricted speed" -- without having the owner inside of the vehicle. Naturally, we're anxiously awaiting a test unit of our own. Or, for a wave of lawsuits -- whichever comes first.

Wiz Khalifa To Crash 'RapFix Live' Pittsburgh Party
Wiz will join fellow Pittsburgh MC Mac Miller on 'RapFix Live' Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET on MTV.com

There's going to be a Pix Burgh party on Wednesday's "RapFix Live." Mac Miller isn't the only Pittsburgh rapper making his return to the red couch tomorrow, as Wiz Khalifa will also be sitting with host Sway Calloway to talk about his latest and greatest.
It's perfect timing too. On Monday, Khalifa released "Work Hard, Play Hard," the first single from his sophomore album O.N.I.F.C. (Only N---a in First Class). The catchy track, which was crafted by Stargate and Benny Blanco, finds Young Khalifa flaunting his success in the face of less fortunate haters.
Wiz is coming off the heels of his critically acclaimed Taylor Allderdice mixtape. He's prepping O.N.I.F.C. for an August 28 release, and if that wasn't enough, Mr. Khalifa and fiancée Amber Rose are planning a wedding. (It was during a March 2011 episode of "RapFix Live" where the lovebirds gave their first interview.) The Taylor Gang captain is also about to hit the road with Mac Miller, Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q and Chevy Woods on the Under the Influence of Music tour, so there is plenty to talk about.
"It means everything, Mac's my little homey. It's good for his fans; it's good for everybody who've been wanting to see us do what we do together," Wiz told MTV News about the tour, which kicks off July 26 in Cincinnati, Ohio. "Chevy's my guy. I grew up with him so I know he's gonna bring a lot of crazy energy. Kendrick and Schoolboy got a bunch of fans on their own and people that they're gonna entertain as well, so I think it's just gonna bring a lot of different worlds together as well as create some new energy that hasn't been done before."
That's not all "RapFix Live" has to offer, as California spitter Casey Veggies will also be coming through. Trust us, you don't want to miss this!

Kim Kardashian, Kanye West Snuggle Up At Dinner Parties

Although Kim Kardashian has continued to play coy when questioned about her rumored romance with Kanye West, new photos of the two add to the growing evidence that they're in a budding relationship.
Kim and Kanye were spotted strolling through New York City over the weekend while Kardashian enjoyed an ice cream cone and sported earrings bearing West's initials, "KW." The couple attended dinner at Spice Market with other members of the Kardashian clan following that outing, and on Monday night, they were photographed again, holding hands while making the rounds in NYC.
First, they attended a dinner thrown by luxury brand Audemars Piguet at Catch in New York's Meatpacking District, where they hung out with Kardashian's pal La La, her husband Carmelo Anthony and producer Swizz Beatz.
Next, they headed out to the opening of Scott Disick's new Japanese restaurant Ryu, where they met up with Kourtney Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Lamar Odom and Rob Kardashian. According to New York's Daily News, West kept his arm wrapped around Kim in the back of the restaurant during the festivities, while cameras filmed segments for "Keeping Up With the Kardashians." Later, they were spotted holding hands as they exited the party.
Kardashian tweeted about the opening, writing, "So much fun at Scott's restaurant opening of RYU last night! CONGRATS @ScottDisick We love you! Food was delish!" but she mentioned nothing about the rumors that have continued to swirl about her and Kanye West.
During a Sunday appearance on Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live," Khloé addressed her sister's status with Kanye. "I don't think it's serious. I think it's too soon," she said. "Because they're friends for so long, it's so easy. That's something that I love seeing about Kim, the easiness and how happy she is. It's just more of a great friendship and friendships make the best relationships."
Khloé also commented on rumors that Kanye would appear on the upcoming season of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," which premieres May 20. "No one has to be on camera. It's not like we're driven to slavery," Khloé said. "Everyone has the option, except for us."
